Bio:

Dr. Chen is an assistant professor in City University of Hong Kong. He received his B.Sc from Tianjin University (China) in 1998 and Ph.D. from City University of Hong Kong in 2008. Between 2008 and 2009, awarded as Marie Curie Host Fellowship, he held a post-doctoral position at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. After that, awarded as Faculty Research Development Fellowship from 2010 to 2011, he worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. In late 2012, he joined Professor David Stuckey's laboratory in Nanyang Technological University where he developed a biosensor to detect toxicants for anaerobic digestion by collaborating with Professor Terry Steele until 2016.
