Biography: Eleni Iossifidou is an associate professor of Hygiene of Food of Animal Origin in the School of Veterinary Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She obtained her veterinary (DVM) as well as  her MSc and PhD degrees from Aristotle University. She is a member of the European College of Veterinary Public Health (ECVPH) and she has been chairing its Education Committee since 2013. Her main research interests are  in the area of food borne pathogens and chemical contaminants  in food of animal origin.  She published more than 25 articles  in international peer-reviewed journals.
